We are embarking on a series in the book of Ruth. It’s a wonderful story, that some even consider the most beautiful short story ever written. The book is often presented as a love story between the young Moabite maiden Ruth and the righteous older statesman Boaz. While the book is a love story, it's not a romantic love story; rather it’s actually a love story centred on the love of a daughter for her mother-in-law, Naomi.
As we study this wonderful short story together, ourhope is that each of us will come to the place of rediscovering what God’s loving kindness is like through the way Ruth loves the community around her, a people who are not her own.
