We continue in our series in the book of Ruth. In chapter 2, Ruth finds herself gleaning in a field that belongs to the man of great valour, Boaz.
As a foreigner, Ruth is allowed to glean along the edges of a field because God instructed the Israelites to maintain justice in the land by leaving the edges of every field as God’s provision for the poor and the sojourners.
We look at God’s heart for justice, and in particular, what it looks like to be a person who acts justly but loves mercy.
