Genesis 2: 15-25

We continue in our series on spiritual disciplines by tackling the thorny subject of sexuality, which like friendship our topic from this past week), does not often appear in the lists of the classic spiritual disciplines. So why tackle it here? Here’s my brief response: If spiritual disciplines are practices and habits which help us to experience God in every aspect of our lives (hence, God In My Everything) and help to shape us into Jesus’ likeness, then we must surely examine our habits and practices in such a critical part of life.

What is sexuality, and what is God’s intention for it? What disciplines can we adopt in this area which will help us to know God and be formed into Christ’s image? How might learning to say ‘no’ to certain practices pave the way to saying ‘yes’ to God in a fuller way and to being freer to love and serve others? Come and see.
