In this message, Pastor Daniel Kang leads us in a look at the petition for forgiveness in the Lord's Prayer.
Jesus says, "forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors."
For the ancient Greek mind, this is the part of Jesus' prayer that may have been the most difficult to accept. The virtues of mercy, pity, and forgiveness were simply not seen in classical Greek tradition. Mercy, pity, and forgiveness however, are what set the people of God apart. Our capacity to forgive is directly connected to our understanding of God's mercy toward us.
In this message we are called to explore the petition for forgiveness in the Lord's prayer through the parable of the unmerciful servant (Mt.18:21-35).
