Kits Cares

Kits Cares Café is a free weekly meal program that provides grocery hampers to those with food challenges in the community. It is run by local churches working together to meet a community need.

The grocery hampers made up of fresh produce, Cobs bread, canned goods and Whole Foods products are distributed from Redemption Church every Thursday from from 1:30pm to 2:30pm, as well as home deliveries made to those who cannot attend or travel.

Kits Cares is currently in need of volunteers!

If you can help on Thursday afternoons or with making home deliveries (contactless) aferwards please let us know.  You can fill out the volunteer form online via Tenth Church's website or you can download the application form and return it to the church office.

You can also talk to Sarah Chipperfield, our church administrator, who is the liaison for Kits Cares at Redemption Church to find out more about what is involved.

Thank you for your interest!

Why is Kits Cares so important?
  • To meet an acute need for nutrition. Regular access to a nutritionally-appropriate meal made with quality ingredients is essential for general health as well as other life outcomes.

  • To help satisfy a deeper hunger. Loneliness afflicts many Vancouverites, and hits low-income people and young adults the hardest.

  • To Find Joy in Working Together. Jointly offering a meal to our most vulnerable neighbours can help us experience the joy of recognizing Christ in each other.
