When was the last time you worked on your resume? I remember a pastor once saying that you use a resume to get into some place that you’re currently outside of. A resume is essentially an argument that you submit that states your case to an employer. It’s a tool that’s used to pry open doors for yourself.
We live in a world that is often impressed by a person’s achievements. The constant refrain of most systems in our world is, “show us your credentials and prove to us your worth.” In this message, we reflect on how the Kingdom of God doesn’t operate on the basis of your own merit, accolades, or accomplishments. In other words, your LinkedIn profile, as impressive as it is, won’t budge the door of God’s Kingdom even an inch.
