Philippians 4: 10-23

In this message, as we bring this series on Philippians to a conclusion, you are invited to spend time reflecting on Paul’s concluding thoughts. He writes, “not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Phil. 4:11-13).

We will look yet again into Paul’s audacious vision of “the good life,” how it’s Paul’s vision of Jesus at the center of all things that sustains his joy and contentment in life. To use the words of St. Augustine, “as creatures of infinite desires we need to find something infinite to love.”
