So, what exactly happened between Ruth and Boaz that night on the threshing floor? In this message we look at Act 3 of the story of Ruth. We will explore both a G-rated rendition of the story, as well as a not so G-rated retelling of the story. As we’re forced to grapple with the possibility that Naomi and Ruth just might be a couple of tricksters, our hope is the intrigue and scandal of chapter 3 will help foster greater understanding and ultimately compassion for individuals in our world who have to creatively bend rules and systems towards justice.
